Helpful Hints for Personalize ‘N Stitch™

• If you rest your cursor over an icon, a 'tool tip' appears to tell you the name of the icon.
• View – Color palette places the color boxes at the base of the screen.  The various parts of the tool bars are 'dockable'. This means that you can move them around to make using them more convenient.  You can place the tip of your cursor on the gray section just above the color boxes and drag the palette up onto the workspace.  Place the cursor along the right edge of the palette.  The cursor becomes a double-sided arrow, and you can drag to widen the palette.  Place the cursor along the bottom and you can lengthen it.  Use the pan tool to move the entire workspace to one side and all of the design is visible along with the color palette.  This makes color changes easier.
• Select your thread choice under Tools – Options – Format – Color palette.
• To change colors of segments within the design, use the color advance tool.  Each click advances you through the colors of your design.  When the segment you want to change appears, simply select the desired color from the color palette.
• The undo icon that will allow you to reverse the previous change.  This is an unlimited undo, and will allow you to back up as many steps as necessary.
• Try to be aware of which cursor tip is active.  To change cursor/tools, click on a different one.
• To easily view the fonts in Personalize ‘N Stitch, (Arc tool application) click the down arrow of the font box and a drop-down box appears.  Click on the first font in the list.  Click again in the white space of the font box and the font becomes backlit in blue.  Use your down arrow key to scroll through each font set and a sampling of the font appears. If you rest the cursor in the viewing window a box appears to show various symbols available in the font.  The up arrow key takes you back up the list.  After you have selected a font, click Apply.
